This week, the boy and I began taking swimming lessons. It is a parent/tot swimming class which meets at the beach here in town. I'd never been to it. It is quite nice! There are only 3 other sets of parents(or grandparents)/tots, so the individual attention is great! Yesterday was the first class. He was pretty upset for the first half, and then seemed to get into it for the second half. Today, he was the only little guy (they are all guys. Huh. ) who did NOT cry at all! Even when he went underwater. (On purpose.)
So there is something that he does that makes me NUTS and I can't figure out how to stop it. He drops food off his highchair. This happens a lot with fish sticks, which at one time, were his favorite food. Now I think it is baked ziti... but I digress. I've tried saying "No!" and looking stern. He laughs. I've tried just taking his food away and ending the meal, but sometimes he does it right away, and has to get used to eating something before he then eats it all... I dunno. He hasn't been eating much at all lately... And since we've started feeding him dinner WITH us instead of us waiting to eat until after he goes to bed, this has become a more frustrating issue. I am hoping those of you, if you still read this, have some ideas for me!

He will get over it. When he's 20. Not much you can do about it now but ignore it. Put a plastic tablecloth under his chair or better yet newspapers!
They all do it!
M.M.(not Melissa) it's her Mom. She did it too
